Pancake day

We had a great afternoon celebrating pancake day yesterday. We discussed the reasons Christians celebrate Shrove Tuesday through our Collective Worship in the morning. We talked about how Jesus went into the desert for 40 days and 40 nights and what we would be giving up for Lent. In the afternoon children designed their own pancake and tasted a variety of pancake toppings. Then as mathematicians, they produced a tally chart to find out the favourite topping of the class which turned out to be chocolate spread!
