Reception class 8th November

I am really pleased with how well all the children have settled back into school after their half term break. We have continued this week with our new sound learning as we come almost to the end of all our set one sounds, I am really pleased with how well they have all retained previous sounds.

In literacy, we have commenced our new book focus 'Rumble and Jungle'. We have 'hot seated' the different animals from the jungle and discussed what they do and eat there.

In maths, we have been looking at sequencing a variety of different activities and exploring what we do at different times of the day. Next week we will continue this as we look at the sequence of making a jam sandwich which we will do parctically first then sequence through pictures.

Lastly, Show and Tell was a huge sucess today, we have had the pleasure of looking and learning all about art and drawing alongside using and controlling a remote controlled car. A huge well done to Emily and Seb for being the first to undertake this today!

PE continues this term on Monday's and Thursday's
