Reception class

What a busy week we have had as the weeks fly by now in the run up to Christmas. We have been practising our Nativity songs and the children are becoming more and more confident with them.

In Maths, we have taken our learning from the days of the week onto the months of the year. I was very impressed with how receptive the children have all been to learning these tricky concepts. They were so proud of themselves we filmed it (see attched) and performed our special song in front of year 5/6. 

In English, we have started our new book 'The Tiger who came to Tea'. They all love this story and have used this to create their own tigers and tiger food tins, just in case a tiger visits us too! next week we will move onto writing our tea party invitations in readiness for our afternoon tea party on 10.12.19 (see note in the green books).
