Reception news week commencing 11th December

Date: 10th Dec 2017 @ 2:22pm

I hope you have all managed to enjoy the snow!

This half term seems to have passed by so quickly!! As we enter into the last few weeks of this half term we have a busy time ahead!

We have a dress rehearsal for our Nativity on Monday morning, after which we will be sending home the children's costumes ready for our production on Tuesday evening. We are asking please, that children come dressed ready so that we can have a prompt start. A letter will accompany the costumes tomorrow.

On Thursday, it is a very special day as it is 'Christmas dinner day' this will be followed in the afternoon by a variety of games and a very special visitor!!

Homework will also be sent out this Friday and is due back on Friday 12th January. The task will focus on number sentences such as 14 + 2 = 16. However, the children can get creative by using different objects to count (Christmas presents, Christmas cards, Rudolph's carrots ... brussel sprouts!).

Over the course of the week we will also be turning creative as we start some festive decorations and card making. Amongst all of this we will continue phonics, reading and our other key areas of learning.

Thank you for your continued support, enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Mrs Allen
