Week commencing 16th October
Date: 15th Oct 2017 @ 4:22pm
Last week in Maths we looked at how to find 1 more and 1 less than a given number. We used a number line to investigate the relationship between 1 more and 1 less. Below are some games which may help consolidate your child's learning.

This week we will move on to patterns, the children will investigate a variety of different patterns relating to shape, size and colour. They will learn how to continue a pattern before attempting to create their own.
In Science, we will be using scientific vocabulary to describe our harvest vegetables which we will be cutting up and using magnifying glasses to examine. Our topic focus will link into our literacy book the Naughty bus and we will be recreating our own 'Naughty Buses' through the medium of salt dough!
We will continue our phonics lessons learning the sounds g, o, c and k and then revisiting our tricky words 'it' and 'is' alongside our new tricky word 'and'. Nessy Hairy Letters is a fabulous app which can be easily downloaded onto most tablets or mobile phone devises. This again, is a fun way of consolidating learning around the letter sounds and letter formation.
