Week commencing 2nd October

Date: 1st Oct 2017 @ 8:43am

Well I can't quite believe that we are already into October! The children are increasing each week in independence and confidence in their school life.

This week will see us continue with our phonics lessons focusing on 'p, i and n' and recapping the previous lessons 's, a and t'. We are practicng how to form these letters with the correct starting points and with them sitting on the line, not floating off to space!

We will continue to practice our Harvest songs in readines for the Harvest Service on Sunday 8th October. I'm sure you might have heard some of the verses of 'We're the singing vegetables' or 'Down at the allotment' over this last week, I know I've found myself singing away to them!

On Friday I sent home with the children their first homework task. This task can be completed over a period of time rather than in one go. I thought the children would enjoy a more practical element that links to our shape work we have covered in class.

I look forward to seeing you next week,

Mrs Allen
