St Leonard's Church

Church and School working together

St Leonard’s Church actively supports the Christian foundation of our school.  Rev Philip Goggin leads regular Collective Worship at the school and also plays an active and vital role in the schools development as he is one of our dedicated Governors.

We are thrilled to have such a close working relationship with St Leonards as this allows us to bring our local community even closer together in praise and worship.  The children have the honour of leading and hosting many services throughout the year at the church, these include Harvest, Christmas, Easter and Leavers Services.

The school has also been welcomed to use the church as a venue for many other fantastic events such as iSingPop singing concert, Christmas Carols, Musical showcase and World War I Anniversary.

The church welcomes families to come and listen to stories from the Bible and participate in practical activities during ‘Saturday Church’ held on a monthly basis in the Parish Hall.  Please look at the weekly Newsletter for the next date and theme.

The church regularly prays for the school and includes the prayers for the school family.  Numerous people from St Leonard’s Church are very active at the school as parents, governors, staff and volunteers, supporting the school in its aim of being a caring, inclusive and prayerful Christian community.

"Rejoice in the Lord always.  I shall say it again: rejoice! Your kindness should be known to all.  The Lord is near.  Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petitions, make your requests known to God.  Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus."

- Philippians 4:4-7
