At Warmingham CE Primary School we put every child first. We believe that every child is entitled to the very best education that we can provide.
We offer an enriched curriculum with high quality learning experiences - leading to a consistently high level of pupil achievement, emotional and spiritual awareness and aesthetic appreciation. Working together with parents and carers, a superb range of experiences are designed to prepare each child for the next stage of education and the challenges of growing up.
We aim to encourage all children to develop not only their academic abilities to the full, but also any special interests such as music, drama, sport, art and much more. Our purpose is to ensure that every child has the best education possible.
We use daily acts of collective worship to provide a moral and Christian framework for the children and to help to establish the ethos of the school. Good work and excellent behaviour are celebrated each Thursday, to which parents are invited. Religious Education is also taught at a class level and children are encouraged to reflect upon the teachings so that they can consider the impact it has on them, their surroundings and their actions in the future.
The children in the Reception group follow the Foundation Stage Curriculum, and form our infant class with years 1/2, offering them experiences and opportunities that lead naturally into the National Curriculum programmes of study.
Parents are informed regularly about the class topics and suggested ways to support their children.
Every term class teachers set a topic based homework to encourage a creative and imaginative approach to learning beyoond the classroom.
Parents are encouraged to discuss their children's work informally with the class teacher and more formal Parents' Evenings are held each term for Reception, and in Autumn and Spring terms for Years 1-6.
From September 2016 we will be using a variety of resources and programmes to support our creative approach to learning. We pride ourselves in creating a curriculum that stimulates, engages and motivates children's learning and thinking. We will be using aspects of the INPSIRE Curriculum, Cornerstones, Hamilton Trust and White Rose Maths. We aim to personalise the provision for all the pupils here so that everyine can achieve their best.
