IsingPop Concert

Last week the children took part in the fantastic project IsingPop, which brought together all of the elements of our school mission statement; Community, Christianity and Creativity. The children spent 2 days learning and rehearsing 6 songs, sung in a pop style, each with a different Christian message. For example, the ballad My Prayer Tonight was all about the importance of caring for each other, and looking after the planet that we believe God has entrusted us with.

Last Wednesday, the children spent the day recording (like real pop stars) their own version of the songs. This was followed up with a superb, smash-hit concert at our local church, St Leonard's. The children blew everybody away showcasing their amazing voices, whilst also remembering the actions that accompanied the words. The concert was a huge success, with over 50 CDs being purchased! Impressive for such a small school, I think you'll agree.

Many thanks to all at IsingPop for such a beautiful and memorable experience. Special thanks in particular go to Georgia, Dayna and Dan.

The project would not have been possible without the jointly funded efforts from the PTA and our Church. On behalf of the staff, children, community and the friends and family of Warmingham C.E an enormous thank you!
