Burwardsley Centre 13th and 14th March 2018
Year 1 & 2 will be staying over night whilst EYFS will be joining the older children for the day.
Housed in the old village primary school, Conway Centres: Burwardsley caters for up to 40 children and 6 staff. For the majority of the time, it is used by primary school children ranging from Year 1 to 6 who stay either 1 or 2 nights. There are 2 nature ponds in the grounds, an adventure playground, a large grassed playing field and a tarmac play area. Within the building there are 3 different classroom/study areas enabling children to study independently on the same visit.
Areas of study whilst at the centre include visits to a local dairy farm, den building in Willow Hill woods which is within ½ mile of the centre, pond dipping in the 2 ponds, river studies and walks to the source of the River Weaver. Other local attractions include the Cheshire Candle Workshops and the Cheshire Ice Cream Farm. The British Trust of Conservation Volunteers uses the site at weekends, when volunteer groups carry out work on local footpaths and other conservation projects.
