Rights Respecting and Global Learning
This page includes some Rights Respecting and Global resources which can be used at home during the Covid-19 outbreak. The Rights of a Child as well as the Global Goals link into the ethos our school has as we embrace all ways to let our light shine. We hope that these resources will provide some fun, different activities to complete during the school closure period.
There is an 'article of the week' Unicef powerpoint which will be added each week. There is also a child-friendly version of the list of the rights of a child too.
Oxfam: This Home Learning Resource Hub, for use by parents, carers and teachers with children aged 7-14, contains simple, child-led activity ideas, engaging videos from around the world, and downloadable worksheets. Each week focuses on a need we all share.
World Oceans day: https://unworldoceansday.org/page/home - June 8 is World Oceans Day, the United Nations day for celebrating the role of the oceans in our everyday life and inspiring action to protect the ocean and sustainably use marine resources.
Transform Our World: Learning from Home Resources – These resources cover coral reefs, clean air, sustainable development and food packaging, and typically involve following a PowerPoint presentation alongside other downloadable resources.
