What a busy start to the new term. Already we have read the Naughty bus story and listed all the things he did. We have made our own Naughty Bus paintings and models (photos to follow soon). In phonics, we have learnt the sounds ai, ee igh, oa, oo, or and ow and enjoyed the alphablocks animation to support our learning. This is a really good resource to use at home to supplement learning in school and how to pronounce letter sounds.

As mathematicians the children have been learning all about money and coin values up to £2. They particularly enjoyed spending real money to buy their milk and then toys in our Recpetion class toy shop (photos to follow soon).

In our topic work we painted hot air balloons as we disscused where we would like to travel to. We had a variety of suggestions from Llandudno to space! 

As we are experiencing some colder weather at the moment please can you ensure your child has a warm coat, gloves, hats and wellies in school so they can enjoy the outside areas in their learning.
