WC 25.3.19

We have another busy week planned. In Phonics we are moving into set 3 of our RWInc sounds whilst revisiting some set 2 sounds. This week the children will be practicing their sound knowledge by becoming sound detectives as they hunt down and categorise sounds in and around the classroom environment.

In Literacy, we will fly off with Emma Jayne in her aeroplane from London as we visit the next city in the story. We will be constructing a famous landmark in this new city through our topic work. Our writing will focus on writing lists of what we need to take with us before we set off!

In Maths, we will move on from our addition sentences to 10 as we look at the tricky teens. Will be counting using Numicon and multilink to make our own number sentences as we continue to look at the Part Whole method.

In RE the children will continue with the Easter theme as they carry on with their Easter gardens and look at resurrection.

PE is continuing with football for the remaining two weeks. I am really impressed with all of them in their improvement of dribbling and shooting into the goal!

Please can I remind you if you have not yet returned the parental confirmation for the riddle competition please can you do so ASAP otherwise your child's work will not be included in the published book! So far only 3/11 winning entries have been returned!!
