Badgers (Years 5/6): Gallery

Class of 2024

Date: 18th Jul 2024 @ 3:47pm

Dear Year 6,

Your time with us has come to an end,

You have achieved so much and come so far,

Don’t let anyone steal your dreams or hold you back,

Live one day at a time.

Never lie, steal or cheat,

Just be yourself – your wonderful self,

Hold onto our Christian values,

Let that light shine bright!

Never give up and don’t give in,

Give more than you planned to,

Keep trying no matter how hard it seems - make it happen,

If opportunity doesn’t knock, build a door.

Open your arms to change,

Remember there’s nothing you can’t do,

Set your sights high and keep them fixed,

Take control of your own destiny.

Believe in yourself and you will achieve great things,

There are billions of people in the world

but just one amazing you – don’t ever forget that!

Good Luck xxx

Forest Church with Reverend Paul and Mrs Archer

You Can Find Me!

“When I consider your heavens, the work for your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you can care for him?’

Proverbs 8:3-4

It’s important that we all take time to stop and rest.   The perfect place to do this is outside where we can sit and reflect.   We spent some time in our woodland area with Reverend Paul and Mrs Archer just listening and appreciating the amazing world God created for us, before creating some master pieces from things we found in the woodland.

God is constantly speaking to us.   He doesn’t always use words.   Day after day, he paints amazing sunsets across the sky to show us His power and glory.   He strokes our cheeks with a gentle breeze to remind us that He is right beside us.  He speaks in the faces and voices of our loved ones.

We can find God in every minute of the day – if you have eyes that are looking and ears that are listening.   To develop our spirituality, we all have to learn to take time to stop, and ask God’s Spirit to help us see and hear Him better.

Our forest church session helped the children and adults to practice looking and listening for God in the world around us, so that we will all be able to see and hear Him more, especially in times of need.   We were reminded that we need to search for God with all our hearts – and we will find Him.

Coronation of King Charles III

Date: 8th May 2023 @ 3:08pm

King Charles III is passionate about our environment and conservation.   At Warmingham CE Primary, we share his passion and to commemorate his Coronation we have been working on some special projects which will encourage more wildlife into our grounds.

Otters planted some flowers in old wellies.

Hedgehogs made wildflower seed bombs which they later used to create a wildflower area by the school’s front gate.

Squirrels planted some shrubs and bedding plants in the planters which we moved from the front of the school to the edge of the playground so the children can maintain them.

Badgers made some bird boxes for the woodland area.   They then decorated them with paintings of wildflowers, bees, butterflies and ladybirds inspired by the invitation for the coronation which was created by Andrew Jamieson.

Anne Frank - A True Courageous Advocate

Date: 23rd Nov 2022 @ 10:14am

As theologists, Badgers’ Class (Year 5/6) have explored how Anne Frank’s faith helped her see the good in everything around her.

They started by learning about the basic history of the Holocaust before they learnt about the life of the courageous advocate Anne Frank.     After ordering the key events in Anne’s life, they looked at how the Holocaust had an impact of her life.

Afterwards, they looked at some quotes from Anne Frank’s diary, and how her faith helped her to see the good in everything around her, despite what was happening to her and her family.    They then thought carefully about which of our Christian values she was using to help her.    A truly amazing courageous advocate – an inspiration to us all.
