The Big Story Labyrinth @ St Michael

Date: 14th Jun 2022 @ 7:45pm

We have been busy creating some work to display in the ‘The Big Story Labyrinth‘ at St Micheal’s church in Middlewich. Our work tells the story of some of Jesus’ miracles. Each class has focused on one of the miracles - you will have seen the children’s work posted on Facebook last week. Along side this work, the children have also been creating some batik banners as a back drop.

You will be able to see the children’s work this weekend at St Michael’s - please try to pop along and see it.

Opening times:
Friday 17th June 5pm to 7pm
Saturday 18th June 10am to 5pm
Sunday 19th 12pm to 4pm

The children have also been learning some songs to sing at the ‘Festival Praise’ which takes place at 11am on Sunday 19th June.

If you would like your child to take part, simply pop along to the Market Fields before 10.50am to join the choIr. The children need to be wearing bright clothing.

Warmingham Wakes

Date: 15th Jul 2022 @ 10:09pm

We would like to thank you all for supporting the Wakes last weekend – whether this was providing jazzy jars to sell, helping to run a
stall or bringing your children so they could sing and dance. Thank you. Amanda and Kate Richardson have both asked me to pass on their thanks for your support. The Wakes raised just over £9000 for St Leonard’s and £438 for school. The PTA would like to thank everyone for their support before and during the event.

Swimming

Date: 28th Apr 2022 @ 9:09pm

This week, Squirrels and Badgers have been travelling over to Bunbury for their swimming lessons.   The children have adored it.   For some, they were anxious about getting in the water, but with a little encourage they went in.    Others were so excited as they adore swimming.   The children have said that they prefer swimming every day for a week rather than going once a week, as they can see how much progress they are making.   They have all let their lights shine brightly.

We have already booked the pool for next year.    Once the children have reached the National Curriculum expectations for swimming, they will have the opportunity to improve their swimming technique whilst also learning some life saving skills.    I would like to thank you for your understanding, as the coach has been late a few times due to the many roadworks around.

Easter Bonnet & Egg Competition

Date: 1st Apr 2022 @ 3:33pm

This morning, the children came to school with their Easter Bonnets and decorated eggs.    There were some amazing entries – thank you for taking the time to help your child make one.   It was a difficult decision as there were so many wonderful entries.     Seb won the prize for the most creative Easter Bonnet as he had chosen to use things from his garden to decorate his bonnet (very Eco-friendly).   Oliver S won the prize for the most creative egg as he had chosen to link his to the class study theme.    Well done everyone who took part.    The eggs and bonnets are going to be displayed in the church until after Easter.
