We would like to thank you all for supporting the Wakes last weekend – whether this was providing jazzy jars to sell, helping to run a
stall or bringing your children so they could sing and dance. Thank you. Amanda and Kate Richardson have both asked me to pass on their thanks for your support. The Wakes raised just over £9000 for St Leonard’s and £438 for school. The PTA would like to thank everyone for their support before and during the event.

This week, Squirrels and Badgers have been travelling over to Bunbury for their swimming lessons. The children have adored it. For some, they were anxious about getting in the water, but with a little encourage they went in. Others were so excited as they adore swimming. The children have said that they prefer swimming every day for a week rather than going once a week, as they can see how much progress they are making. They have all let their lights shine brightly.
We have already booked the pool for next year. Once the children have reached the National Curriculum expectations for swimming, they will have the opportunity to improve their swimming technique whilst also learning some life saving skills. I would like to thank you for your understanding, as the coach has been late a few times due to the many roadworks around.

Easter Bonnet & Egg Competition
Date: 1st Apr 2022 @ 3:33pm
This morning, the children came to school with their Easter Bonnets and decorated eggs. There were some amazing entries – thank you for taking the time to help your child make one. It was a difficult decision as there were so many wonderful entries. Seb won the prize for the most creative Easter Bonnet as he had chosen to use things from his garden to decorate his bonnet (very Eco-friendly). Oliver S won the prize for the most creative egg as he had chosen to link his to the class study theme. Well done everyone who took part. The eggs and bonnets are going to be displayed in the church until after Easter.
