We Are Learning About...

Our study theme for Summer 1 is 'Adventures Underwater'.

Our new study theme will explore the wonders of ocean life through stories, play, and hands-on activities. We will dive into the beautiful underwater world, learning about sea creatures, habitats, colours, and movement. As part of our learning, we’ll enjoy the story The Whale Who Wanted More by Rachel Bright. This gentle and engaging tale will help us think about feelings, friendships, and the importance of appreciating what we have. Through the story, we will explore themes of kindness, sharing, and happiness. We will take part in creative activities such as painting sea creatures, creating our own splatter paintings in the style of the famous artist Jackson Pollock, building underwater scenes, and exploring water play. We will also develop early language, counting, and listening skills through songs, storytelling, and group activities inspired by the ocean.

We’re excited to begin this underwater adventure together!

Please see our attached study theme web for more information.
