🌺 Remembrance Service at Warmingham CE Primary School 🌺

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who was able to join us for our Remembrance Service today. It was a truly special occasion, beautifully led by our Head Pupils.

Our children sang This Remembrance Day, Everlasting Peace, and Fighting for Love with such sincerity, reminding us all of the importance of peace, hope, and unity.

The service concluded with a thoughtful prayer, giving us all a moment to pause and reflect:
"Gracious and loving God, As we gather in remembrance, we thank You for the lives laid down in service and sacrifice.

We honour the courage of those who fought for freedom, and we hold close the memory of those who never returned.

We remember the poppies that bloomed in the chaos, symbols of hope in the darkest of days.

We remember the refugees who flee war and persecution, just as Your Son, Jesus, once fled danger as a child. We remember the call to be peacemakers, to speak truth, to stand for justice, and to welcome the stranger.

Let our thoughts be filled with compassion. Let our words be filled with courage. Let our actions be filled with love.

Help us to trust in Your light, even when the world feels shadowed by conflict and fear. Guide us to be bearers of peace, builders of hope, and reflections of Your grace.

And as we go from this place, may we hold close the words of Jesus: ‘Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.’ — Matthew 5:16 May our light shine—in remembrance, in action, and in faith. Amen."

We are so proud of our pupils for the way they led and contributed to this service. Their voices and actions remind us all of the importance of remembrance and the hope of everlasting peace.
